the alexa toolbar: some questions

I was finally able to download the toolbar, after many attempts (I kept getting all kinds of virus notifications from symantec and homepage hijackings on two previous attempts) and I have to say that I'm finding it so interesting to see the stats on every website I go to now.  My question is concerning the quiblit stats - the category about "where people are going on quiblit"...I'd be much more interested in knowing which of the front page articles are drawing them in, how they found us by showing where they linked into us from, etc. - but as far as I can tell it only shows which "blogs" they're reading of ours.  I'm less interested in that since I already have sitemeter on my blog and don't really need that information - nor do I update my blog on a daily basis so I was surprised mine even registered, albeit was last on the list.  Anyway, long story short - am I just missing this information that I'm looking for or am I correct in that it isn't giving us those stats?  And what about someone like John Griffin or Michael Kenney, who don't have blogs connected to quiblit?  I'm thinking that certainly some of their articles have brought the traffic in.

Re: the alexa toolbar: some questions

Well, Nancy, those are really questions that only alexa can answer.  They measure what they choose to measure.

I have other sources that provide me with that info, including sitemeter and Google analytics.  The three biggest draws so far are the Mike Huckabee article, the Robertson-Giuliani article and Tom Cruise's hair (the gift that keeps on giving).

thanks

I just turned on my laptop to find that the alexa toolbar has been deleted on me.  For whatever reason my anti-virus software (symantec) views it as a virus.

anything you know of that I can do to prevent that from happening?

Re: thanks

This isn't really a Quiblit issue, but...

Click on view Toolbars.  Is the alexa one still there, or is it really deleted?

it's really deleted.  Not to worry, I can figure it out from here.  Thanks.
