feeds

Hey folks,

I managed to set up a feed of my technorati tags, but I wanted to also hook up my google reader shared items to my readings page.

I have tried...

1.  copying the code that google provides onto the page next to the technorati code.  no good.

2.  setting up an RSS feed widget with a link to the feed of my google reader shared page.  no good.  i think google's not giving me the whole url for the feed?

3.  what does john mcg do?

Thanks in advance,

august

WDJMCGD?

Set yourself up with a feedbite account, then create an aggreate feed with the URL's for your shared items and technorati tags.  Then you will get a URL for a new feedbite feed that you can do with as you please.

Re: WDJMCGD?

Thanks John.  I haven't decided whether or not I want a unified feed.  I finally got it working only by making up a blogger blog, then copying the html from there.  I have no idea what was wrong with it.   Still looks not very good, but I'll live with it until I have more time.

I remember from wikifray that at one time we had a feed that would post anything that anybody tagged wikifray in, I think, delicious.  Do you remember how that worked?  What I'm trying to do here is experiment with different things to see what might work best in a classroom (well, virtual classroom) setting.

Thanks for your help.  Now if I can just get feedburner to send e-mails, I'll be happy.

WDJMBD?  -- can that be hooked up to the bat signal?  ^^^WDJMGD^^^

Re: WDJMCGD?

Rendering it on the page was done through http:///www.feed2js.org.    All I did was take the RSS feed from Feedbite (or Ma.gno.lia) and put it through there, and it gave me Javascript to put on the site.
