The first thing I wrote for Quiblit was about my hometown Park Ridge,Il.. It's the same town where Hillary Rodham Clinton grew up, and attended high school. Maine South is right up the street from where I live. Lately a terrific little football powerhouse, but back then a brand spanking new building. Hillary and her classmates christened the joint in 1965.
They were the first class to enter Maine South.
In our village newsletter in January, the guest columnist was New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

It was reprinted in the Sun-Times later the same month.
Not to go into any great detail, as you can read it yourself in the link, but Hillary talks about what it meant to go from Goldwater Girl to Muskie Musky during her formative years as a Park Ridge teenager. How she went from staunch conservative to idealistic liberal because she was forced to argue, of all things, the LBJ side of things in a 1964 mock presidential debate at Maine South. See, it was while researching the policies of Johnson that Hillary became aware of things like civil rights, poverty, health care, and foreign policy (which came in handy years later when casting her Senate vote on the invasion of Iraq.)
She's very fond of Maine South High School, which is why Senator Clinton's campaign held their Super Tuesday Rally there. Park Ridge turned out OK for Senator Clinton, but Illinois broke slightly for Senator Barack Obama that fateful night in February.
Obama edged Clinton in Illinois by roughly 10 billion votes.
Well, that was no surprise, Obama's our guy. She grew up here, ...but Obama's our guy. I can assure you folks that Illinois is going to the fucking wall for Obama. Mattresses in November I say. Fuck the gun and fuck the canoles. Get out the vote.
What is a surprise is the fact that Senator Clinton, until the story broke this morning, hadn't paid the $3161.00 due to Maine South High School as payment for the rally held there for Super Tuesday. Three grand. Her campaign spends that much on pedicures in a week. Who's running this damned show? The place where she learned her politics? The place where she went from Barry's Bitch to Humphrey's Hump? Now she's stiffing Maine South? Excuse the fuck out of me????? When I read that I almost barfed up my Pickwick olive burger.
Late today, after Mark Silva broke the story in his blog, the tab was paid. (no late fees?)
It does raise a few questions though about the future of the Clinton campaign in general, and Senator Clinton in particular.
As this race for the Democratic nomination drags on, and more money is 'spent', does Senator Clinton intend to continue stiffing her creditors? This practice makes her expenditure numbers slightly flawed, as the expenditures aren't quite matching the total invoices. If she has loaned her own campaign $5million, and yet she makes her own High School dun her for a stinking $3,000, things can't be good. If she says she's 'spent' $130million on this campaign, what's the total when we add up all the Maine Souths left standing there with their collective cocks in their fists? How about if we put a price on the amount of comps and add them too?
At what point is enough enough?
At what point does this become stupid and destructive for my new party?
I'll make a deal with you Hillary.
I'll take care of the $3161.00 tab with Maine South. It's on me. I'll square shit with Dr. Garlasco. I know a guy who knows a girl who went to high school there. I'll also urge my friends in the Obama camp to offer you the VP spot in November. I'll make sure that Bill gets an office in the nice wing & I'll guarantee no more blowjob questions for Chelsea.
